Gifts to Port Perry Hospital Foundation touch many lives. We care for people of all ages, from the babies that are born in our New Life Centre to the palliative patients and their families who need our expertise and our support.      We pride ourselves on using your donation to buy what is really needed at Lakeridge Health Port Perry to give better quality of life to patients and to keep our equipment state-of-the-art. We may use donations to buy something as inexpensive as talcum powder, or as costly as a specialty air pressure mattress to prevent bed sores.      Most of our proceeds are used to buy equipment, usually significant items that cost in excess of $25,000. Some of our funds help to support programs such as Diabetes outreach and Palliative Care. We help pay for special education for staff and physicians where it is directly related to patient care; we want them to have the latest information in current healthcare trends and innovations. And as the government mandates, we spend 80% of our annual fundraising revenues on equipment and programs of Lakeridge Health Port Perry .       “Lakeridge Health Port Perry has been a haven of healing for me for decades.
