The
Port Perry Hospital Foundation honours those
who
donate to the hospital in two special ways.
The
Arbour
In the front lobby of Lakeridge Health Port Perry three tall
glass pillars form the Arbour where supporters of the Hospital
are recognized.
Each time you give a charitable
donation to the Foundation, with the exception of Garden of
Memories gifts, it is added to your previous donations. When
the total reaches a specific level the person, business or organization
that has been so generous will have their name etched onto a
glass plate that is installed on the Arbour. As your gifts continue
to accumulate, you will eventually reach the amount required
for recognition at the next level, and we then install a new
plate to reflect that category.
A gift in any of these categories
entitles the donor to recognition on the Arbour.

The
Garden Wall
The Garden of Memories is a growing commemorative project. Located
outside the main hospital entrance, the Garden is a retreat
where patients and their families may enjoy the outdoors. A
handcrafted dragonfly, representing courage and strength, adorns
the Garden Wall and is the common thread that weaves this website
together.
When you make a one-time donation
of $2,500 to the Garden of Memories program, your gift helps
support the ongoing costs of maintaining the Garden. An etched
glass plate is attached to the Garden Wall in the vestibule
area of the main lobby to acknowledge your generosity. A gift
to the Garden of Memories program can be made in memory of someone,
to celebrate a special occasion, or to support the program.
The Port Perry Hospital Foundation
holds a private recognition ceremony periodically, (depending
on the number of plates to be installed), in honour of supporters
that have been added to the Arbour or the Garden Wall.

“As
patients, we couldn’t have been treated better,
everyone was helpful and courteous. Our relatives and
friends from Toronto are always surprised and impressed
at the medical services available here.”
