History
Port Perry Hospital Has Always Been Here for You
Since 1946, our doctors, staff and volunteers have been committed to providing quality health care that is compassionate and caring. We know that care is best delivered in the community, close to patients’ homes, family and friends. There is little doubt that Port Perry Hospital is a treasured and special place, and patient surveys consistently show this, rating care as excellent.
The Impact of Support
This community has always been here for its hospital. In 2016, donors to the Your Hospital, Your Future Campaign renovated the aging medical/surgical in-patient ward, adding palliative rooms, and enhancing how patient care is delivered at Port Perry Hospital.
In August 2018, when our hospital reopened following a fire in August 2017, understanding how important the Port Perry Hospital is to the community, Lakeridge Health invested millions of dollars, updating electrical capabilities and other infrastructure supportive of today’s medicine.
Community support has also transformed our New Life Centre’s five birthing suites and updated all labour and delivery equipment to better care for our new families.
Community support continues to help. Updated state-of-the-art smart IV monitors, life-saving cardiac equipment and a rapid infuser used in emergencies, as well as essential surgical and endoscopy equipment are just some of the recent enhancements to care made possible.
Today, state-of-the-art care at Port Perry Hospital includes:
- 24/7 Emergency Department
- General Surgery and Endoscopy
- Acute Inpatient Medical Beds
- Maternal/Child Program (New Life Centre)
- Palliative Care
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
- X-ray, Ultrasound and Echo-cardiology
And so much more
