Your Gift Helps

Gifts to Port Perry Hospital Foundation touch many lives.

Donations given to Port Perry Hospital Foundation remain in this community for benefit to Lakeridge Health Port Perry Hospital.  At Port Perry Hospital Foundation we pride ourselves on using your donations to buy what is really needed at Lakeridge Health Port Perry to provide better quality of care to patients and to keep equipment and facilities state-of-the-art. We care for people of all ages, from the babies that are born in our New Life Centre to the palliative patients and their families who need our expertise and our support.

The greatest use of donations is to upgrade and expand medical equipment and to update facilities necessary to ensure the best possible patient care.  Donations support vital programs such as Diabetes Outreach, Geriatric Initiative of Volunteers for the Elderly (GIVE Program), and Palliative Care.  Donations also mean we can invest in special education for staff and physicians where it directly relates to patient care, working together to ensure Port Perry has the latest information in current healthcare trends and innovation.

On August 25, 2017, Port Perry Hospital suffered fire damage during a roof repair. The hospital was closed and is on schedule to re-open September 2018. While closed, we are working hard to complete projects that would have required some hospital services to be greatly inconvenienced, or even shut down for days. Those areas, unaffected by the fire but in significant need of updating are our Pharmacy Department, the New Life Centre, and our Emergency Department – to name a few. Because of support like yours, we are able to proceed with these planned projects, with a goal of re-opening fully functioning, ready to serve our community once again.
