July 22nd, 2023 First BGIP Summer Spectacular

On Saturday July 22nd, guests of the BGIP Summer Spectacular event came together for an unforgettable evening of great food, entertainment and philanthropy, held at the Mississauga’s of Scugog Island First Nation (MSIFN) Resource Centre.

Brian Gribben of Brian Gribben Insurance Planning (BGIP) generously hosted the event, fully at their expense, asking guests to pay it forward by making a personal donation to Port Perry Hospital Foundation to help fund some much-needed equipment, state-of-the-art Manual Defibrillators. Not only was the entire event funded by BGIP, but the fundraising received a substantial boost with a generous starting donation in the amount of $5,000 from BGIP. Lake Scugog Lumber also helped kick start the fundraising, adding an incredible $10,000.

It was Brian Gribben’s vision that beyond having an amazing time, guests would be inspired to do something special, to pay it forward, and the evening’s attendees did just that. Thank you to all attendees/donors and volunteers who made this event a resounding success. With kind contributions and enthusiastic participation of invited guests, over $53,000 was raised!!!

With additional thanks to the further generous support of Lake Scugog Lumber, who graciously came forward with an additional cheque to bring the BGIP Summer Spectacular event’s fundraising total to the goal of $60,000! The vision of the BGIP event to be able to purchase two of the five needed defibrillators at Port Perry Hospital, was reached.
