Third Annual BGIP Summer Spectacular Event

The third annual BGIP Summer Spectacular was held on Friday, June 6th — an early kickoff to the season filled with great company, live music, delicious food, and a spirit of generosity. Held at the beautiful Trillium Trails Banquet & Conference Centre, the evening was once again a fantastic blend of celebration and purpose.

Brian Gribben of Brian Gribben Insurance Planning (BGIP) generously hosted the event that included live entertainment which featured The Blues Angels, with a special guest appearance by Jordan John, who dropped in from his world tour as lead singer with Tower of Power., covering all expenses, and encouraged guests to make personal donations to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.

This year, Brian set out with a clear goal: to raise enough funds to purchase an AutoPulse CPR machine — one of Port Perry Hospital’s top-priority needs. In critical cardiac arrest situations where every second counts, the AutoPulse CPR delivers continuous, high-quality chest compressions without interruption or fatigue. This life-saving device is especially vital in a rural setting like ours, giving patients the strongest possible chance at survival when emergency care is needed most.

In small hospitals like ours, it also means one more health care worker is freed up to assist with other critical tasks during a life-threatening emergency. With your support, we can bring this vital technology to Port Perry Hospital and ensure that no one goes without the best care, no matter where they live. Help us save lives. Right here. Right now.

Despite already covering the evening’s expenses, Brian and Lorraine lead the way with a generous donation to kick off the night’s fundraising. And though they couldn’t attend this year, Ron and Nancy Compton also contributed significantly to the evening’s fundraising.

Thanks to the collective generosity of all involved, over $61,000 was raised, ensuring the AutoPulse CPR can be purchased now, and bringing us close to purchasing an ECG machine as well. The three-year total of donations made through BGIP Summer Spectacular is an amazing $200,000. We are so grateful to all who have taken part and helped make one life-saving piece of equipment after another possible through the event.

Sincere gratitude goes out to Brian and Lorraine Gribben of BGIP for once again bringing this inspiring event to life. Their commitment and generosity continue to make a lasting impact. A big thank you as well to Susan O’Connor, also from BGIP, for her tireless coordination and attention to every detail behind the scenes. And to all the amazing guests — your generosity and compassion helped create something truly remarkable in support of the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.
